Privacy Policy for ScrollFit

This Privacy Policy explains how ScrollFit («the App», «we», «us») collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By using ScrollFit, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Note: the camera is used exclusively to detect your exercise movements while the relevant screen is open. We do not record, store, or transmit camera footage.
Note on the Accessibility Service: ScrollFit uses Android’s AccessibilityService API for one purpose only — detecting which app is in the foreground, which is what makes the app-blocking feature work. The service is declared with canRetrieveWindowContent="false", so ScrollFit is technically unable to read the content of your screen: it does not access your texts, messages, passwords or keystrokes. Before the service is enabled, the App shows you an in-app disclosure describing exactly this and proceeds only if you accept. You can disable it at any time in Settings › Accessibility › ScrollFit. ScrollFit is not an accessibility tool and does not use the isAccessibilityTool flag.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and authenticate your account
  • To save and sync your fitness progress and screen-time data across your devices
  • To operate optional rewarded-ad features that grant extra screen time
  • To operate the app-blocking / screen-time control feature you configure
  • To detect, via the Accessibility Service and on your device only, when a limited app comes to the foreground
  • To display advertising, including personalized ads where you have given consent
  • To maintain, improve and troubleshoot the App

3. Third-Party Services

ScrollFit uses the following third-party services, which may collect information used to identify you:

  • Google Firebase Authentication – manages sign-in (email link / Google Sign-In). Firebase Privacy Policy
  • Google Firebase Firestore – stores your account and fitness/screen-time data in the cloud. Firebase Privacy Policy
  • Other Google Firebase services – Realtime Database (live duels), Cloud Functions (server-side features), Cloud Messaging (push notifications) and Analytics (aggregated usage metrics). Firebase Privacy Policy
  • Appodeal – ad mediation platform that runs a real-time auction among several advertising networks and serves the winning ad, including rewarded ads. Appodeal Privacy Policy
    Ads may be delivered by any of its advertising partners, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy: AppLovin, Unity Ads, Meta Audience Network, Liftoff/Vungle, Mintegral, BigoAds, InMobi, ironSource and BidMachine.
  • Appodeal Consent Management Platform – manages your advertising consent choices (EEA/UK/Switzerland and U.S. states). It is compatible with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF)

These providers may use Advertising ID and similar identifiers across apps and services. You can manage your ad personalization choices at any time from the App’s Settings screen («Privacy options»), or at the device level via your Android Settings.

We do not share your name, email address, fitness records or any camera imagery with advertisers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party service providers listed above, strictly to operate the App’s features (authentication, cloud sync, and advertising), and when required by law.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and fitness data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at scrollfit.info@gmail.com. We will delete your data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g. EEA, UK, California), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for advertising personalization at any time
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

7. Advertising Consent (EEA / UK / Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, ScrollFit will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads or using non-essential cookies/identifiers, in accordance with the GDPR and applicable e-privacy laws. This is handled by Appodeal’s Consent Management Platform, which is compatible with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF).

You can change your consent choice at any time from the App’s Settings screen using the «Privacy options» button.

If your consent cannot be obtained for any reason, the App serves non-personalized advertising instead, which does not rely on your Advertising ID for targeting.

8. Children’s Privacy

ScrollFit is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard services (Google Firebase) to store and protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated «Last updated» date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
